Our campaign is hiring organizers in the Bronx and Westchester to fight for bold climate action, affordable healthcare and housing, accessible public transit - and the intersectional issues that impact our community.
The Regional Field Organizer (RFO) will work under the Campaign Manager managing a designated region and will lead efforts to maximize voter turnout in the district.
Roles/Duties:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and monthly basis and work well under pressure.
Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV) in June 2022.
Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the community leaders, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Campaign Manager.
Work with Campaign Manager on voter engagement.
Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events in your respective region/area.
Job Requirements:
Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)
A background in VoteBuilder and MiniVan.
Full availability from August 10th - 23rd is required.
Must be a strong trainer.
Ability to work long and unusual hours (some weekends and nights, especially leading up to the election).
Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
Access to a reliable vehicle. Traveling is required.
Positive attitude and a commitment and passion to the cause of electing a progressive democrat in the Senate District.
Salary Range:
$2,200 - $3,500 a month - Full-time, Contract
