The We Rise Together
Fellowship Program
Be the change you seek.
Join The We Rise Together Fellowship Program.
The We Rise Together Fellowship Program will train the next generation of progressive leaders and issue advocates. Fellows emerge from this four-week program highly skilled in the tools community organizers use every day to create the change our campaign is bringing to the Bronx and Westchester.
The We Rise Together Fellowship involves either working alongside veteran organizers on #TeamAmato or engaging in direct political education with experts across the country. Each track culminates with a community engagement event organized entirely by the fellows for the campaign. Event topics focus on essential issues like climate change, health care, education, and human rights.
The Fellowship is mainly remote, and anyone across the United States can participate. Applicants in the New York Metro Area and Westchester will be added to teams that occasionally meet throughout the four-week program. Fellows are expected to commit 10 hours a week to the program, between pieces of training and event activities.
This program will teach you the skills to take action on important local and national issues as we mobilize to make Christian Amato our next representative.
Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old to apply
Comfortable with working remotely, including weekly online webinars
Passionate about supporting Team Amato and advocating for progress, equality, and justice in your community and abroad.
Applications are open for the summer fellowship. Applications will be accepted until June 1.
Fellowship Tracks:
Christian’s Climate Crew
A dedicated team highlighting environmental injustices and creating actions and events to educate constituents on the impact of the climate crisis in our communities and uplift the community through supporting local climate initiatives.
We Rise for Public Housing
Voters in public housing feel disenfranchised and have been pushed away from political engagement. Our Public Housing fellows will engage these constituents, identify and elevate issues, organize our NYCHA complexes, and help promote immediate and long-term solutions.
Campaign Fellows
The Campaign Fellow will assist the campaign team in implementing all aspects of the campaign strategy, including but not limited to Field.
