Christian Amato is a New York based director, strategist and producer. Christian is the Founding Producing Artistic Director of The Theatre Project, which Downtown Magazine has acclaimed as “A company to watch,” as well as TTP’s rep company TP&co, which Culture Catch described as “Exciting & Innovative!” Regionally, he has directed Dog Sees God, Reefer Madness, HAIR!, The Dining Room, and Ajax. Off-Broadway Christian re-adapted and directed Sarah Kane's final play, 4.48 Psychosis. Other Off-Broadway credits include Play Date, Universal Monsters, and B*tch, reviewed by Downtown Magazine as "A great success!" He directed the world premiere production of  the new musical Alice In Wonderland, nominated for an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for "Best Family Show." Recent Off-Broadway credits include the world premieres of Non-Equity The Musical & Horseplay in FringeNYC & Tico Tales & Barbicide at The Players Theatre, Cold Reads & MicroFest in The Players Loft & the Off-Broadway run of A Midsummer Night‘s Dream. He is also a leading strategist for many current shows on Broadway! Up next, Christian is producing the Broadway production of ROCKY, based on the hit film. He will also be directing TP&co’s upcoming production of Much Ado About Nothing at The Players Theatre. He earned his BA in Theatre and Art from SUNY Plattsburgh.
